Tulips are beautiful flowers. They grow from a bulb and look like the flowers pictured here in this coloring page. They typically only have one flower per stem and the flowers smell nice.

Here are some fun facts about Tulips:
-The word Tulip is believed to originate from the Persian word for Turban.
-Tulips originated in Asia and spread to Turkey where they were first cultivated.
-Tulip flowers and bulbs are edible. The bulbs are supposed to taste like onions.
-The tulip is the national flower of Turkey and Afghanistan.
-Holland (a.k.a the Netherlands) exports tulips as a commercial crop, producing as many as 3 billion bulbs each year!
